RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as technical and project leader for team of 4-5people.Serve as major contributor towards team goalsReports status, highlights issues andconcernsThe design and analysis of algorithms.Collaboration with the US team regarding advanceddevelopment.The development and verification of software tools forperformance measurements, management, and planning.Performing studies on the behavior of variousapplications and the use patterns of Symmetrix, and use thisinformation to guide the development of new Symmetrixalgorithms.Performing general research activities, as needed, withan aim to improve the overall performance and function of Symmetrixand the satisfaction of its customers.Researching new software and hardware technologies, andhelp in their integration to Symmetrix.Projects may include:Analyzing and improving the algorithm we have developedto predict hit ratios without full simulationAnalyzing various methods to do prefetch, not necessarilybased on sequentialityEvaluating various methods to find optimal parameterssetups to satisfy targeted performanceAnalyzing protocols inside Symmetrix (When you reallyneed a lock and when you don't)Skills:Technical Leadership of small teams and ability tocoordinate with management.Good English (verbal and written).Candidates should have a background in math, physics orcomputer science and solid experience in programming.Demonstrated ability to develop complex softwaresolutions.Understanding of business environment.Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver software ina small technical group environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills withability to resolve conflicting requirements.Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred;Phd a strong asset.ConditionsMedical insurance for employees and their family,Opportunity to work in a flexible schedule,Life insurance,Paid personal/sick/vacation days,Professional training programs etc
